To make a fragments photo you have to take either a photo of person or one object you then edit and move the shapes ,cut shapes out and move them pixilate them or colour in small parts of the object of persons face.
This page is all about edges and to make a good edges photo you would need to make the photo focused on one object and can clearly se which is the main object . I think every photo with a subject for example any object/person/animal is a photo with an edge.Any photo you take could class as an edges photo.
Edges
in the first lesson we were given a sheet and we had to write down 30 edges that are round the school.these edges could be anything such as the edge of a desk, mirror, pen, bench, plant pot and many more.the first lesson we had taking photos,we had to use the sheet that we wrote the edges on and walk around the school and find and photograph each object with the background out of focus and the main subject in focus.

I think this is my best photo from this task because its very simple and only has the subject and the wall in the photo.I like the simplicity of this photo and the curved edge of the clock and the hands.I like the white clock on the white background because it makes the numbers and the hands stand out more.

Dolores marat
I chose this photo by Dolores Marat because I like the composition and how she is in the middle of the photo,I like the lines on the escalator and the shadows between each step. The colours don't really stand out in this photo and itys not very bright but the legs and the coat stand out from the escalator. This photo is also really simplistic and doesn't have much in the photo
I think these two are by best photos because I really like the detail on the floor in the left and the person in the background with the railing either side of him.I think I edited it well because the colours are similar to the colours dolores marat uses.I like how on the photo on the right has the right hand side of the photo in focus and the background is out of focus and the edge of the people is out of focus and it leaves a black shadow of the people.

These are are all taken by a photographer called Thomas Hawk. I like these photos because a lot of them have perspective lines and bright colours which are really eye catching. I also like how he used shadows in his work to make more edges in the photo. I also like how he uses bright colours in his work. I think all of these photos count as an edges photo because he has captured the edges of buildings. I really like the photos which have been taken on a street and most of the things on the photo are on the left and right and the middle is really simple.

For my lesson I am going to base my work of a photographer/cinematographer/youtuber called peter mckinnon and then evaluate my work. His work has allot of shadows and vingeting in his photos and they are usually focused on one specific object and is normally in the middle.

Evaluation For my final piece I was inspired by peter mckinnon to take detailed close ups and quite simple with allot of shadows in the photo. I added some shadow buy editing each photo and adding some vignetting to each photo and I also changed the white balance slightly on a few of the photos.I also used to film camera tool on snapseed.I think I captured similar photos but I could of improved them by adding more objects and make more shadows to the subject that I was photographing.I am going to present the prints on a board. |
