Dark room/cyanotypes
In component 1 I learnt about things that you can do in the dark room like pinhole photography, chemigrams, photograms.I looked at photographers such as Pierre Cordier (who made photograms)and Lazlo Moholy Nagy(who made chemigrams).I also made cyanotypes and looked at Anna Atkins work.I used these photographers work to inspire my work in lesson and I think seeing there work really helped me find a really cool outcome like in the dark room by using a ruler which is transparent so it leaves lines across the light sensitive paper.
street photography
In street photography I looked at people such as boogie who took black and white photos which I found really inspiring and made me think about how to take photos from a more interesting angle and I think looking at his work has helped with every topic for that reason.I also did other topic such as photos from above, shadows and reflection, over the shoulder, cropping, walk on by and surfaces.I think this made me more confident taking photos and also made me think more about how i'm taking my photos.
Light painting
As a class we made light paintings and I found them fun which I think made me think more creativly within photography and made me more confident taking photos around other people.
Edges
In edges I looked at photographers such as Dolores Marat,Thomas Hawk,Peter Mckinnon and David Hockney.I think I learnt how to take good macro photos of small things and also this is also when I first started to learn how to edit using Iphoto which I think has helped me now because I now know which things will compliment a photo ,like changing the contrast and the saturation to make a photo lighter or darker which adds tone.
Fragments
In fragments I looks at photographers such as Larissa Honsek,Lorena cosba,Lucas Simones.I think this topic really helped with my creativity and how id make an abstract idea,It also really helped me with my editing skills on photoshop
Abstraction
In abstraction I made a sculpture from paper and orange plastic which was inspired by Anna Lucas.I then took photos of and through it, which I think helped me with framing my photos.I also used John Baldersarri's work which I made me think more about the back ground in my photos. There was also a task where I had to either have the foreground or the background in focus, I found this task easy yet quite had because I found it difficult to find an interesting subject at first but then i knew what to look for and really started to notice what would stand out.
